The Woolwind Tailcoat 2.0 - new silhouette, 15 percent lighter

From the very beginning, it was particularly important for us to incorporate the feedback of our customers, the musicians, into the development of our orchestra tailcoats. After all, they are the ones who give top musical performances in our tailcoats. There were three clear requirements for our first collection:

1. the material should be heat-regulating and transport moisture quickly to the outside.

2. a high degree of elasticity in the fabric is intended to make playing in a tailcoat easier and to increase comfort in the orchestra pit or on stage.

3. the tailcoat should be convenient to wash at home in your own washing machine to save time and money on cleaning.

The overwhelming feedback from our customers shows us how well we have met these requirements. That makes us very proud, of course. However, we do not want to rest on our laurels. After all, our team has worked for many years in other contexts with top athletes on the hunt for new records.

Over the last few months, we have continued to tinker with our tailcoat concept and tested it with some musicians from the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra. The result will be available in our shop from next week:

At only 600g, the Woolwind Tailcoat Jacket 2.0 is a good 15 percent lighter than our previous model. This means the jacket weighs less than most violas! We have also updated the cut of the jacket. Thanks to the elastic fabric, we were able to make the silhouette even narrower, as requested by some customers. Flatter shoulder pads and a slightly shorter back length support the elegant appearance even when sitting and reduce the overall weight.

Our testers were completely enthusiastic and we hope to be able to convince you with this further development.
